The 3 Stinky Cheeses are about highlighting different type of beauties through my eyes.
I chose stinky cheeses as a rating system because their beauty may not be obvious to the casual observer.
Through love of cheeses (mucho stinky), music, places of faith, libations, history, games […], I get to show others my unique perspective on beauty.
In Buddhism, we are all gods. We are apprentice Bodhisattva who are on their way to Buddhahood through their actions. We achieve a status of “bigger god” through our gifts, actions. A perfect 4 course meal prepared for your loved ones is a “God” meal. An amazing wobbly rolling bass in a great motivating song like Conquer by Overwerk (Ed Huszar) is a “God” musical piece:
These Artists, Chefs, Builders are gods in the eyes of their constituents/ followers/fan base/groupies.
Witness Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode in a god moment at the Rose Bowl (what a beauty!) in Pasadena, California in front of more than 66 thousands fans:
This moment of communion between fans and artists (Dave, Alan, Andy, Martin) was worthy of 2 stinky cheeses. It can only be topped by a more shared experience where fans actively participate in the concert by affecting and performing live tracks (more on this in the future). The better the feedback system (I call it Fab’ing for making things more fabulous), the better the flywheel of creation.
Let’s celebrate many many beauties the universe has to offer.
As I learn about new beauties, I grow fond of their associated gods.
I have classified the beauty-telling in 8 categories (for which I am familiar with a few gods):
Culinary (Ceres)
Wine (Bacchus)
Social (Cupidon)
Spiritual (Celeste)
Ludical (Sunü) : Music, Cinema, Games, Fetes, Fun …
Architectural
Historical
I called these 8 categories “Octopie”. As I get more familiar with different categories, I will provide a deeper view of the associated beliefs.
Enjoy the ride for the best cassoulet in the universe, the unheralded deep love letter to mother earth, and other beauties that I discover or rediscover throughout my travels/travails.
As Columbo says: “One More thing”: The rubric:
1 Stinky Cheese
Rock Solid beauty.
2 Stinky cheeses
Absolute Gorgeous beauty.
3 Stinky cheeses
The GOAT!
I cannot fathom how to make that OctoPie any better. I need help. Challenge me, email, provide feedback!
p.s: Thank you Daisy for the inspiration.
